TRABELSI stands for lasting style, quality and purpose. With an edited approach and transeasonal aesthetic, the ambition is to make conscious choices easier and build for longevity. It’s about narrowing down the options and curating a streamlined wardrobe that transcends trends. Through meticulous craftsmanship and methodic repetition, TRABELSI refines and tweaks the wardrobe over time to reflect the changing needs. Each collection builds upon the next and additions are made to complement, rather than reinvent, the wardrobe. This to curate an edit that is relevant and lasting in appearance, function and quality.
We want to designs sensitive fashion and accessories that should be easy to wear, timeless and rich in influences. Crafted from fabrics selected for their quality and designed for everyday wear, the wardrobe is eminently modular—the supple silhouettes and mainly soft color palette, with single color accents, allow outfits to be restyled and accented over time. Designed and developed in our Atelier in Zurich with simplicity and minimalism in mind, all TRABELSI pieces are made to last long.
Our concern and strong focus on responsibility, authenticity and sustainability goes beyond the economic dimension towards a political one. It is important to us to create an open space for communication, especially regarding marginalization - it is our concern to question the separation of east and west in a subtle way.
Our pieces should be worn by everyone who feels addressed - Inspired by a sensitive femininity but unfastened from rigidities of gender.
TRABELSI follows the new developments within sustainability closely to make decisions that work in favor of people, animals and the planet. Minimizing the impact is an ongoing journey with no shortcuts, and the ultimate goal is to grow in a sustainable way.
Due to this TRABELSI uses materials woven in Tunisia and Europe. It is important to us to secure jobs and the disappearing craftsmanship in Tunisia and to contribute our small part if possible. All our knitwear pieces are produced in Switzerland and our remaining garments are 100% produced in Switzerland. The silver pieces, such as earrings and buttons, are all made of 100% recycled silver and produced in small jewelry workshop in Tunisia.
The brand ensures low levels of waste and keeps surplus stock to a minimum due to this we produce at the beginning mainly make-to-order to be able to plan and produce more sustainable.
Our first collection “Kif-Kif” gets underlined by our floral print developed in collaboration with German Artist Theressa Gössmann.
